Embersoft Inc. was founded in 1986 to provide software and services for corporate secretaries. Its original software was called The Electronic Minute Book, and it was the first commercially-available software in the class which today is known as Entity Management software. Originally written in DOS, it was updated to the Windows environment in 1993 as a full 16-bit client-server application, and the code has now been migrated to a 32-bit environment. Currently in version 7, EMB is now being updated and will continue as new version 8 in Q3 of 2005.
In 1995, we added software to deal with share transaction filings for corporate insiders, named iFile. This software continues to be available and produces many different kinds of reports, giving more information than the official SEDI website software.
Embersoft’s principal, Nigel Blumenthal, is a UK-qualified corporate secretary, and the company also offers consulting and contract services in the corporate, information and document management areas.
